Golden Tee All Star

After realizing while attending Indiana University that he was too smart to work for "the man," Micon moved to Atlanta and became a professional Golden Tee player. By his own admission, he was top 100 in the world, and trained very seriously with number-one-ranked player Chris Eversole and other notable pros such as Wade Kids. After killing the game for several years, Micon discovered a game that he was even better at and that was potentially far more lucrative: poker.

Poker Origins

Micon discovered he had a natural ability when it came to cards. Stud, Omaha, Razz, Limit, No Limit: it was all cake for him, and poker was blowing up online. Again, he was able to support himself using his wits, without working for "the man." Eventually, he would meet Dustin "Neverwin" Woolf, one of the most degenerate human beings on the face of the planet, and the poker world would never be the same.

NWP4LIFE

Dustin was killing the high-limit Hold 'em games online at this point, and Micon thought they might be able to build a poker website around Dustin's name. In May 2004, Neverwinpoker.com was born. The site would eventually become one of the biggest poker forums in the world. The fact that it was the only uncensored poker forum on the Web gave it instant street cred, but what eventually made it a household name were the many scandals that other forums and poker publication simply wouldn't or couldn't comment on. Stories included those about a man who scammed Gavin Griffin and got him to show pics of his penis online, a David Williams ass-eating foot-licking porn video he made before becoming a famous poker pro, and David Sklansky's relationship with his live-in inbred girlfriend 30 years his junior. Neverwin seemed to be splashing every hot young girl on the poker scene, and the site was on fire. However, things were about to get even hotter, and everyone in the poker world was about to learn the name Bryan Micon.

WSOP2006

Micon was on fire during the 2006 WSOP, and gained national exposure. He had three strong finishes in various Hold 'em events for more than $80,000 before entering the Main Event, where he truly made his mark. ESPN loved his wild antics, showing clips of Micon waving his donkey wand and doing Michael Jackson's Thriller dance in celebration of winning pots. The cameras couldn't get enough of him. He finished in 63rd place in the Main Event, netting more than $122,000. Micon was on top of the world, but that would soon change.

Lessons Learned

Feeling invincible, and having already proven that he could hang with the best in the world at the game of poker, Bryan Micon decided to make the move out of Atlanta, where he was living at the time. In one of the most shocking NWP Radio shows of all time, Micon announced to his listeners, including his mother, that he was getting a divorce and moving to Las Vegas. He moved in with some of his Vegas "boys" and began ignoring his own bankroll advice by playing at overly high limits. He soon went busto, for which he was unmercifully ridiculed on his own site, but good things were right around the corner.

Tony G, Splashing the Neighbor, and Red Panty Pubes

Micon needed money fast, it's a tool of the trade in the poker world, and Micon needed to get back to work. He took an incredible gamble when he sold the majority of Neverwinpoker to controversial Lithuanian Tony G. Many were up in arms fearing the worst. Details are not widely known, but Tony G has claimed to pay a little under a million dollars for the site. Those who worried Tony G would take over the site or make it a pokernews clone were soon relieved when Tony G, after making a few posts, vanished. Micon got the money, retained full creative control, the site was made better functionally due to Lithuanian programmers, and Tony G did not fuck with the site. Around this time Micon let people know that he was no longer shacking up with the Vegas crew but had got his own place with his new girl and ex neighbor Martha. Even getting scammed by child molestor Justin Smith couldn't keep him down, as he turned it around to make Justin Smith's life a living hell, and gained even more attention for Neverwinpoker.com, giving interviews for many national shows on the subject and making HOF threads on the matter. After unearthing emails of 2+2 writer David Sklansky asking for poker whore Brandi Hawbaker's pubes, a war of sorts broke out with 2+2 which got Micon, Druff, Michael, and anyone affiliated with NWP banned from 2+2. The controversy and scandals are as good as ever, Micon is playing winning poker again with an ample bankroll, and things will only get better for this poker phenom.
